Welcome to My Corner of the Market
Hi, I'm Scott Hong, and this is where I share my unfiltered thoughts on the market.
For years, I've been fascinated by the two forces that drive every stock, every trend, and every portfolio: fundamental value and market psychology. This site is my personal journal—a place where I document my journey in trying to make sense of it all.
I'm not a big Wall Street firm or a faceless corporation. I'm just one person, obsessed with figuring out what makes a good investment. My approach is simple:
First, I do my homework (Fundamentals). I dig into companies to see if they're actually solid. Is the business healthy? Is it profitable? Is it built to last? I’m looking for substance, not just hype.
Then, I watch the charts (Technicals). A great company isn't always a great investment right now. I use technical analysis to study the market's behavior, spot trends, and decide when it makes sense to act. It’s my way of managing risk and not just blindly buying in.
Why am I sharing this? Because I believe the best way to learn is by doing and discussing. The ideas you'll find here are my own—my strategies, my successes, and definitely my mistakes. This isn't financial advice; it's a real-time look at how I see the markets and navigate them using a blend of old-school valuation and modern charting.
Think of this as an open notebook. I hope my perspective challenges you, gives you a new idea, or simply shows you - you're not the only one trying to connect the dots.
Thanks for stopping by. Let's figure this stuff out together.
